Laredo picks up growth in U.S./Mexico trade
The value of cross-border trade through Laredo, Texas, increased $11 billion in 2004, according to the Laredo Development Foundation, referring to U.S. Department of Commerce statistics.
Total U.S./Mexico trade rose $30 billion last year.
Laredo was a major gateway for automobiles, electrical machinery, power equipment, industrial machinery, telecom equipment and office machinery.
