Latin American airlines pick IES software to file air manifests

Aeropostal, a Venezuelan airline, and Aero Honduras, a Honduran airline, have selected a Web application from IES Ltd., a provider of import and export-managing software for customs house brokers, non-vessel-operating common carriers and transportation intermediaries, to expedite the filing of air manifests in the Automated Manifest System (AMS).

U.S. Customs and Border Protection authorized Aeropostal and Aero Honduras to use the IES application. 'Our Air AMS service provides airlines with a single collection point for all AMS-related house bill data from every forwarder in their desired format,' said Andrew Bullen, president of IES, which is based in Midland Park, N.J.

IES has partnered with Lalandia Inc., a Boca Raton, Fla.-based company that assists U.S. and foreign carrier entities with Federal Maritime Commission-approved tariff filing. Icelandair Cargo and British Midland Airways are also using IES's Air AMS software.

IES also reported several management promotions. The company appointed Raymond Baliatico vice president of development and technical support; George Manolisvice president of new business; Dawn Wallum vice president of strategic sales, and Randy Donalds vice president of marketing.
