LATKOVIC NAMED DIRECTOR OF CLEAR-PAC

LATKOVIC NAMED DIRECTOR OF CLEAR-PAC

The Foundation for Russian American Economic Cooperation has appointed Goran Latkovic as director of its Internet-based project to foster faster cargo clearance for U.S. companies shipping to Far East Russia.

The project, the U.S.-Russia Trade Facilitation Link, is part of the foundation’s Customs’ Link Entry/Exit American Russian-Pacific system, or Clear-Pac, which is backed by the U.S. Commerce Department. The foundation began laying the groundwork for the system in 1999.

Latkovic replaces Elena Aroustamova, who had recently resigned to pursue other interests. Prior to his appointment, Latkovic was project finance and administrative manager for a Canadian gold mining company in Kamchatka, Russia. He also worked in Moscow as director of a Croatian company’s representative office.
