LAZER TRANSPORTATION FORMS U.K./U.S. TRADE REGION SERVICE GROUP
Lazer Transportation, the Taylor, Mich.-based freight forwarder and customs house broker, has formed a trade route service group to provide supply chain services between the United States and the United Kingdom.
James R. Lhamon, chief operating officer of Lazer, said the group was formed in response to customers' needs for just-in-time transportation solutions. “The U.S.-U.K. trade region services group is a corporate business unit of Lazer Transportation and will augment the continues sales and service initiatives under way in our North American branch office network.”
Kathleen Royal has been appointed to the new position of market development manager for the U.S. side of the trade lane. A 20-year international transportation industry veteran, Royal joined Lazer in 1993 as a sales representative after working for DHL and TNT.
Lazer, a subsidiary of F.X. Coughlin Co., will appoint a market development manager for the U.K. side of the lane. The managers will act as sales and customer service contacts with Lazer operations teams and agents throughout the trade region.
