LLOYD TRIESTINO ANNOUNCE ENTRY INTO PACIFIC TRADE
Italian carrier Lloyd Triestino said it will enter the transpacific trade in August, taking space on three weekly services operated by parent company Evergreen Marine.
Lloyd Triestino will take space on the transpacific TPN service and the all-water Round-the-World East and Round-the-World West services. For both RWE and RWW, Lloyd Triestino will only take space between the U.S. East and West coasts and Asia.
Lloyd Triestino will begin taking space on the TPN service August 10, when the vessel Ever Unison arrives in Kaohsiung. The services deploys five 5,364-TEU ships with a service rotation of Vancouver, B.C; Tacoma, Wash; Tokyo; Nagoya; Osaka; Kaohsiung; Hong Kong; Osaka; Tokyo; Tacoma and Vancouver.
The RWE service agreement takes effect August 30, with the arrival of Ever Result in Hong Kong, while the RWW service agreement starts on the same day with Ever Divine in New York.
Lloyd Triestino said that it will not be accepting cargo to or from Los Angeles or Coco Solo.
Lloyd Triestino already charters space from Evergreen on the Asia/Europe/Mediterranean FEM service.
