Lloyd Triestino, CMA CGM start new Asia/Med link
Lloyd Triestino and CMA CGM are starting a weekly Asia/Mediterranean service at the end of this month. The Adriatic China Direct “ADR” service will use seven ships, each of about 2,400 TEUs. Five ships will be provided by Lloyd Triestino and two by CMA CGM.
The first sailing of the “ADR” service will be made by the vessel “Merkur Bay” when it departs from Ningbo Oct. 28.
The start of the new service also marks the return of direct calls by Lloyd Triestino to its home port of Trieste. The full port rotation for the service is Ningbo, Xiamen, Yantian, Hong Kong, Tanjung Pelepas, Port Kelang, Colombo, Taranto, Trieste, Koper, Venice, Rijeka, Taranto, Tanjung Pelepas and back to Ningbo.
The “ADR” service will add around 125,000 TEUs in annual one-way capacity to the Asia/Mediterranean trade.
