LOGISTICS.COM UPGRADES OPTIBID SOFTWARE
Logistics.com, a provider of procurement and supply chain execution software, has announced the availability of OptiBid 3, the latest upgrade of a transportation procurement solution used by shippers, carriers, and third-party providers of logistics services.
The enhanced OptiBid 3 allows users to secure contracts across all modes of transportation, integrating with any level of network complexity. Customers can have their own in-house staff run procurement events, or use Logistics.com’s service team.
“Being able to filter and sort data, or download it into a spreadsheet for internal analysis, makes bid response painless, and allows us to spend our time highlighting the value we can bring to a shipper,” said Dan Gaich, operations manager of Landstar Pittsburgh Agency. “OptiBid considers not just price, but also capacity availability.”
OptiBid 3 integrates with Logistics.com’s OptiManage 7 solution, which monitors the critical metrics of transportation procurement, making real-time adjustments to routing guides.
Customers who have signed for OptiBid 3 include Honeywell, Smithfield Foods, United Stationers, and REI.
