LUFTHANSA CARGO ADDS WORLDWIDE WAR RISK SURCHARGE

   Lufthansa Cargo will imposes a war risk surcharge of 10 euro centimes (10 U.S. cents) per kilogram, applicable worldwide, effective 25 March.

   The conflict in the Middle East has far-reaching consequences for the entire aviation industry and also means substantial additional costs for the international air cargo sector, the cargo airline said.

   Lufthansa Cargo said that its war risk surcharge is a temporary measure. It will remain in force “until the military conflict is over and Lufthansa Cargo can resume normal operations.”
