Lufthansa Cargo, Air China Cargo increase China/Germany flights

   Lufthansa Cargo and its joint venture partner Air China Cargo will add three services between Peking, China and Frankfurt in Germany, starting Dec. 18.

   Two of the flights will be routed via Chengdu, capital of the Szechwan province in Southwest China noted for its electronic and chemical industry.

   Using Boeing 747 freighters the services will fly from Chengdu to Frankfurt via Peking on Thursdays and Sundays. It will also stop off in Peking on the flight back from Frankfurt to Chengdu on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

   Lufthansa Cargo said that with the inclusion of Chengdu in its network, it will serve five Chinese cities. The other four are Hong Kong, Peking, Shanghai and Guangzhou.
