LUFTHANSA CARGO APPOINTS TWO REGIONAL SALES MANAGERS

   Lufthansa Cargo has named Thomas Eggert sales manager for the Southeast Asia and Singapore sales region, and Carsten Hernig as head of the sales region of Russia and the CIS states.

   Eggert, who replaces Hendrik Falk, joined Lufthansa Cargo in 1988 and has been involved in global partner management for the German cargo carrier.

   Hernig's appointment is effective Jan. 1. He joined the company in 1999 and has worked in product management and strategy department before transferring to sales. He succeeds Michael Charle who has accepted a new position in management of the Europe/Africa area.
