Lufthansa Cargo makes changes in sales, marketing staff
Lufthansa Cargo has made several changes to its sales and marketing operations, including merging its German and Europe/Africa sales into a single force.
Bernhard Kindelbacher has been named senior vice president of marketing, succeeding Harald W. Eisenacher, who is switching to marketing chief of Lufthansa Passenger Airline, effective Jan. 1.
Kindelbacher has spent three years in New York as sales manager for Northeast and Midwest U.S. and eastern Canada.
Peter Pullem has been named as head of the new Germany/Europe/Africa sales unit, effective Jan. 1. Pullem has for the past four years held a senior post in sales at the Thomas Cook leisure travel group. He began his career as an airline commercial trainee at Lufthansa Group 20 years ago, holding stations in the group's passenger business.
Georg Sahler, previously vice president of Germany sales, has been appointed sales manager of the Cargo Counts subsidiary recently started by Lufthansa Cargo. Erwin Obladen, senior vice president of worldwide sales at Lufthansa Cargo, will serve as the executive board's representative in Asia, reporting directly to the board.
Obladen's successor as worldwide sales chief has been appointed but won't be announced until a later time. Meanwhile Andreas Otto will be responsible for worldwide sales.
