LUFTHANSA CARGO NAMES JANSEN CHAIRMAN

Lufthansa Cargo, the independent air freight subsidiary of Lufthansa German Airlines, has named Jan-Peter Jansen chairman of its executive board.

Jansen replaces Stefan Lauer atop the world’s largest international air cargo carrier. Lauer has moved to the board of parent company Lufthansa AG.

Jansen has been a member of Lufthansa Cargo’s executive board since January last year, first as a deputy member and then as a full member this year with responsibility over logistics and production. Jansen has worked at Lufthansa since 1976, making his way through the ranks primarily in purchasing and account management.

Joining Jansen are Walter N. Gehl, human resources and administration, and Andreas Otto, marketing and sales.
