Lufthansa Cargo pools non-German handling, sales responsibilities
As part of a restructuring program, Lufthansa Cargo’s area managers outside of Germany have added responsibilities for both handling and sales activities.
In Germany, handling and sales remain separate organizational units.
To aid the streamlining process, Lufthansa Cargo has appointed J'rgen Siebenrock as its vice president sales, Germany. He was vice president of sales in the Americas.
As the new vice president global sales steering, Helge Kr'ger-Lorenzen will manage Lufthansa Cargo’s worldwide sales activities. He was head of sales steering of Lufthansa Cargo’s global sales organization.
J. Florian Pfaff has been named vice president area management Europe/Africa. Klaus Holler is the new vice president area management Americas. Martin Schlingensiepen has been appointed vice president area management Asia/Pacific.
“By integrating many of the tasks that were previously dealt with at headquarters — such as global key account management — into the individual areas we are strengthening our ties to the customer and increasing the responsibility of the area managers,” said Andreas Otto, executive board member responsible for marketing and sales at Lufthansa.
“The introduction of a dedicated area management for the German market will also enable us to raise our profile as a national carrier and further expand our leading market position.”
