Lufthansa Cargo to raise rates

   Lufthansa Cargo is raising cargo rates by an as yet undisclosed amount on April 1. Lufthansa said the increase will be in the order of a single-digit percent and will vary according to region or route.

   “In face of underlying market conditions, we feel compelled to make differentiated rate adjustments,” said Roland Sch'tze, senior vice president worldwide sales at Lufthansa Cargo.

   Lufthansa said it will provide its customers with details of the rates rise in the next few days.
