Maersk Logistics picked for Operation Safe Commerce
Maersk Logistics said it has been selected by the Transportation Security Administration as the logistics provider for the Operation Safe Commerce pilot project at the Ports of Seattle/Tacoma.
Operation Safe Commerce is a recently funded 12-month program to test the feasibility of tracking ocean containers and their contents from the manufacturing door to the receiver’s dock. Seattle/Tacoma is one of three U.S. ports that will serve as test bed centers for Operation Safe Commerce.
