MAERSK LOGISTICS SETS UP VENTURE IN NEPAL
Maersk Logistics is setting up a joint venture in Nepal through its affiliate Maersk India.
The logistics service provider said that the venture will extend its presence in South Asia.
Maersk Nepal Pvt. Ltd., based in Kathmandu, will serve as Maersk Logistics India Pvt. Ltd.’s sub-agent in Nepal. The Kathmandu office will handle land-based services through the Indian port of Kolkata (Calcutta), the ocean gateway to Nepal. The office will also handle exports and imports via airfreight.
