Maersk quits Central America Discussion Agreement
A.P. Moller-Maersk has left the Central America Discussion Agreement, continuing a trend of moving away from pricing cooperation with other ocean carriers.
Its withdrawal from the U.S./Central American group became effective July 24, according to a notice from the Federal Maritime Commission.
The remaining carriers of the Central America Discussion Agreement are: APL, Crowley Liner Services, Dole Ocean Cargo Express, Great White Fleet, King Ocean, Trinity Shipping Line, and Seaboard Marine.
