MAERSK SEALAND ADDS INDIAN PORT TO U.S. WEST COAST LINK
Maersk Sealand is adding a weekly call at Nhava Sheva, India on its TP5 service to and from Los Angeles.
The first TP5 vessel departing Nhava Sheva is the “Dirch Maersk” on March 5. The service also calls at ports of the Middle East and the Far East.
The TP5’s direct service to and from Nhava Sheva is the only direct service to and from the U.S. West Coast. Other carriers move Nhava Sheva cargoes to the West Coast by transshipment.
The India/U.S. West Coast service complements Maersk Sealand’s MECL service, which offers direct service between Nhava Sheva and the U.S. East Coast.
Details on the rotation and transit times of the revised service are posted on the global liner shipping database ComPairData at http://www.compairdata.com .
