Maersk Sealand adds trucking features to its tracking system

   Maersk Sealand has added new request facilities for both carrier’s haulage and merchant haulage to its “advanced tracking service” via the Internet. They are a carrier haulage request and a merchant release request.

   Shippers can make a request for one or multiple containers, selected from a list. All relevant container details are automatically included in the request.

   For carrier haulage, shippers are able to create and maintain their own list of addresses. Requests are instantly forwarded to a Maersk Sealand office of the customer’s choice, Maersk.
