Maersk Sealand adds U.S. Gulf/Progreso service
Maersk Sealand is starting a weekly U.S. Gulf/Mexico/Central America service at the beginning of November, called the “Progreso” service. The link will start on Nov. 9 when the vessel “Rubin” departs from New Orleans.
The service will use two ships of around 500 TEUs and call at New Orleans, La.; Progreso, Mexico; Puerto Limon; Manzanillo, Panama; Puerto Cortes; Progreso and New Orleans.
The U.S. Gulf/Mexico/Central America service complements Maersk Sealand’s “NCA” service, which links New Orleans to the Central America region. Full transit time details for the “Progreso” are available from the global liner shipping database ComPairData at www.compairdata.com .
