MAERSK SEALAND, NYK RAISE ASIA/EAST COAST OF SOUTH AMERICA RATES

   Maersk Sealand, NYK Line and other shipping lines of the East Coast of South America forum plan to increase freight rates from Asia to the East Coast of South America by $150 per TEU, effective April 1.

   Maersk Sealand said that this is “in consideration to the severe market climate caused by the continuous freight rate levels drop throughout (the) last years.”
