MAERSK SEALAND RESUMES VENEZUELAN SERVICES

Maersk Sealand said it has resumed accepting cargo to and from all ports in Venezuela since Tuesday, after a suspension caused by national strikes in the country.

Cargo acceptance to Venezuela had been halted since Dec. 23.

The “H. Kirkenes” delivered cargo to Puerto Cabello, Venezuela, on Jan. 27.

“As we resume calls in Venezuela we give priority to Venezuela-bound cargo in transshipment ports and on docks in U.S. ports,” Maersk Sealand said.

Maersk Sealand warned that vessel schedules are tentative at this time, as unrest in Venezuela continues.
