MAERSK SEALAND REVISES U.S./WEST AFRICA LINK
Following the takeover of U.S./West Africa niche operator Torm Lines, Maersk Sealand has introduced a revised direct container service in the trade.
The service is starting on Dec. 16 from Savannah, Ga.
The “West Africa Express” weekly service will have a rotation of Savannah; Norfolk; New York; Freeport, Bahamas; Dakar, Senegal; Abidjan, Cote d’ Ivoire; Tema, Ghana; Cotonou, Benin; Takoradi, Ghana; Abidjan; Freeport; Savannah; Norfolk and New York.
Maersk Sealand will also provide feeder services via Dakar and Abidjan to other locations in West Africa, including in Nigeria.
