Maersk Sealand starts U.S. East Coast/Chile loop
Maersk Sealand has introduced a weekly service connecting the ports of Miami and Philadelphia with Panama and Chile.
The new WCSA-USEC service covers the gap created after the Danish carrier dropped U.S. port calls at New York and Miami from its TA3/Andean service, previously sailing between Europe, the U.S. East Coast and West Coast South American.
The WCSA-USEC service uses four ships of about 1,200 TEUs and has a port rotation of Miami; Philadelphia; San Antonio, Chile; Balboa, Panama; and back to Miami.
Details of both the WCSA-USEC and revised TA3/Andean service are available now on ComPair Data, the global liner-shipping database, at http://www.compairdata.com .
