Maersk to miss 2 Far East/Indian subcontinent voyages
Maersk Line will in late-February temporarily cancel two sailings on its weekly Far East/Middle East FM3 loop in response to the soft demand following the Chinese New Year.
The two vessels that will miss sailings are the 3,604-TEU capacities 'Nedlloyd Europa' and 'Nedlloyd Asia,' which were scheduled to depart from the Chinese Port of Yantian on Feb. 27 and March 7, respectively.
The full rotation of the service is Tanjung Pelepas, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Nansha, Yantian, Tanjung Pelepas, Nhava Sheva, Karachi, Colombo, Tanjung Pelepas and back to Hong Kong.
Maersk said it will continue to offer a direct services from main ports in the Far East during the two weeks through a slot agreement with Hyundai Merchant Marine.
