MAERSK WARNS THAT VENEZUELAN SERVICES ARE STILL DISRUPTED
Due to the current political situation and strikes in Venezuela, Maersk Sealand warned that its liner services to the South American country are still disrupted.
The Danish mega-carrier said that all the main ports in Venezuela — Puerto Cabello, La Guaira, Maracaibo and Guanta — remain closed.
The carrier stopped accepting cargoes to Venezuela on Dec. 23 “until further notice.”
In line with standard practice in liner shipping, the carrier said that cargo may be delayed, stored in a transit location, or delivered at an alternative location.
