Man dies in containership safety drill

One man died and another is in the hospital after a lifeboat capsized Sunday during a containership safety drill in Seattle, the Associated Press and Seattle Times reported.

Shortly before 9 a.m. a lifeboat carrying four people capsized during a drill for the “OOCL Britain” at Terminal 18 in Seattle. All four were recovered after being in the water for 20 minutes, but two were taken to a hospital, at least one of them unconscious, U.S. Coast Guard Petty Officer Kurt Fredrickson told AP. Officials did not release the identities of the four people.
