Martinair names Bay Area and Canadian GSSAs

European airline firm Martinair has appointed San Francisco-based Pacific Cargo Management as its new general cargo sales and service agency, or GSSA, in the Bay Area, and Montreal-based Exp-Air Cargo as its new Canadian GSSA.

Martinair, headquartered in the Netherlands, decided to hire PCM to offer better coverage to the northern California region. Mike Miumi, who has been operating the GSSA since 1987, heads the firm.

Canadian-based Exp-Air was established in 1990, and is owned by Danny Olynick and Daniel Ouellette. Exp-Air also represents Tampa Cargo, Martinair's alliance partner.

Martinair is a charter and scheduled airline operating 15 passenger jets and five cargo freighters. The airline is owned by Air France-KLM and Maersk, each holding a 50 percent share in the company.
