Maruba, CMA CGM to add Long Beach calls

Argentina-based Maruba Lines and CMA CGM will add westbound calls at Long Beach to their joint weekly Asia/West Coast South America/North America West Coast service.

Maruba markets the service as CLANSA while CMA CGM calls it ACSA. Compania Chilena de Navegacion Interoceanica also takes slots on the loop.

The 1,561-TEU vessel “CMA CGM Quetzal” will make the first call at the Californian port March 9.

The revised port rotation of the service will be: Hong Kong; Chiwan; Shanghai; Busan; San Antonio; San Vicente; Callao; Buenaventura; Puerto Caldera; Puerto Quetzal; Manzanillo, Mexico; Long Beach and back to Hong Kong.

Recently, Maruba, Hamburg Sud and CCNI dropped U.S. West Coast calls on their joint AMPAC service in the same trade.
