Matson to promote Cox, Hoppes
Honolulu-based Alexander & Baldwin Inc. is promoting two executives at its ocean shipping subsidiary Matson Navigation Co. Inc.
Matthew J. Cox will be promoted to executive vice president and chief operating officer. Cox has been senior vice president and chief financial officer.
Cox’s promotion will allow James S. Andrasick, Matson’s president and chief executive officer, to focus on Matson’s plan to re-enter the transpacific trade after an absence of 35 years, and other key strategic priorities.
At the same time, Matson is promoting David L. Hoppes to senior vice president, ocean services. Hoppes has been vice president, ocean services.
