McDevitt succeeds Mahoney as UPS VP for global transportation
UPS, the Atlanta-based parcel delivery and supply chain services provider, said Chris Mahoney will retire as senior vice president of global transportation and a member of the company's management committee.
John McDevitt, another member of the UPS management panel, will take over Mahoney's position. McDevitt, 46, was senior vice president of strategic integration.
Mahoney, 57, is retiring after a 37-year career at UPS that began when he started working as a part-time package handler in college.
UPS's global transportation network includes the world's 11th-largest airline and a surface delivery fleet of more than 150,000 vehicles, as well as rail and other distribution services.
