Med/Canada carriers raise rates
Ocean carriers of the Mediterranean Canadian Freight Conference said they plan to increase westbound freight rates by $200 per 20-foot container and $250 per 40-foot box, effective June 15.
“This increase is part of the continuing need for the restoration of viable rates, balanced against the level of services required by the trade,” the conference said.
The Mediterranean Canadian Freight Conference carriers are Canada Maritime, Cast, Senator Lines and Zim Israel Navigation.
