Mediterranean Shipping Co. has reduced the number of vessels on its transpacific service from six to five.
As a result, the weekly service has stopped direct calls at the port of Qingdao, according to the company's Web site. A spokesman for the carrier at its head office in Switzerland would not comment on the changes.
