MEDITERRANEAN/WEST COAST CONFERENCE RAISES RATES
The Med Pac Conference, a group of shipping lines covering the westbound trade from the Mediterranean to the West Coasts of the U.S. and Canada, has announced freight rate increases effective Nov. 1.
The conference said that all tariff rates will increase by $150 per 20-foot container and $200 per 40-foot box.
The carriers of the Med Pac Conference are Italia/D’Amico and Zim Israel Navigation Co.
Announcement of higher prices by the Mediterranean/West Coast conference is the latest in a series of rate increases in the booming westbound transatlantic trade.
