Menlo adds extra air capacity for peak season
World Airways will provide airlift for Menlo Worldwide Forwarding to Los Angeles and Hong Kong for a few months this year under a short-term contract expansion.
Menlo chartered a DC-10-30F for scheduled service between its air freight hub in Dayton, Ohio and Los Angeles through the end of the year, and a MD-11F between Dayton and Hong Kong during October and November at an estimated cost of $3 million, according to World Airways.
The Peachtree City, Ga.-based carrier also said it is swapping an MD-11F used on weekday flights between Dayton and Brussels with a DC-10-30F.
