Menlo Worldwide forms automotive logistics unit
Menlo Worldwide, the California-based logistics service provider owned by CNF, has set up a specialized unit to focus on the supply chain and logistics needs of the global automotive industry.
With headquarters in Detroit, Menlo Automotive Group will use the capabilities of personnel and systems throughout the Menlo organization.
Gary Kowalski will head Menlo Automotive Group as its chief operating officer. Kowalski was president and chief executive officer of Vector SCM, a joint venture between General Motors and Menlo Worldwide. Gregory Humes replaces Kowalski at Vector SCM and reports to him at Menlo Automotive Group. Humes was COO of Vector SCM.
In addition to General Motors, Menlo Automotive Group serves many automotive original equipment manufacturers and “tier one” suppliers, including customers in mobile electronics, transportation and safety and technologies systems.
