MFCA ADDS AIRBORNE TO MEMBERSHIP
The Motor Freight Carriers Association has added Airborne Express to its membership.
MFCA is a trucker industry group which represents the unionized general freight carriers.
“MFCA has as its primary mission to help improve the economic performance of the unionized sector of the trucking industry,” said Timothy P. Lynch, president and chief executive officer for the group. “Airborne’s decision to join MFCA is a recognition that they believe we can do just that.”
The five-year-old group’s other members are ABF Freight System, A-P-A Transport Corp., Consolidated Freightways, New Penn Motor Express, Roadway Express, and Yellow Freight System. These trucking firms cover about 80 percent of the Teamsters under the National Master Freight Agreement.
