Miami seminar looks at apparel, FTAs
The Florida Customs Brokers & Forwarders Association is offering a half-day seminar on 'Making Sense of the Apparel Free Trade Agreements,' Oct 18 at the Miami Airport Hilton.
The session will show how companies can increase business opportunities by knowing how to stay in compliance with Customs and Border Protection requirements for the various trade agreements and preference acts that apply to the apparel industry. There will be officials from foreign consulates and chambers of commerce from throughout the Western Hemisphere speaking at the event, as well as CBP supervisory import specialist Roslyn Haynes. Moderators will be Lenny Feldman, managing partner of the Miami office of the law firm Sandler, Travis & Rosenberg; and J.J. Piskadlo, ST&R government affairs advisor.
