Military Sealift Command awards IT contract to SAIC
The U.S. Military Sealift Command has awarded a contract to Science Applications International Corp. to provide shore-side information technology and operations support services.
The contract has a base period of one year with an estimated value of $11.9 million. The contract contains three one-year option periods and eight three-month award term periods, which if exercised, would bring the total value of the award to $75 million.
The Military Sealift Command operates more than 110 non-combatant cargo ships that provide worldwide logistics support to the U.S. military.
