Mitsui & Co. forms partnership with INTTRA
Mitsui & Co. Ltd., a Tokyo-based trading firm, has entered into a partnership with the e-commerce carrier portal INTTRA, offering a shipment processing system for Japanese customers.
The new Mitsui-sponsored system, Trade-Logistics Messaging Service (TLMS) enables users in Japan to process ocean cargo shipments on a multicarrier shipping platform that is in their native language.
'Mitsui's TLMS system is fully integrated with INTTRA, allowing shipping processes to become faster, easier, and more reliant,' said Tony Wines, INTTRA's managing director for the Asia-Pacific region.
Mitsui has 700 subsidiaries worldwide. The ocean carrier network of INTTRA, based in Parsippany, N.J., represents 55 percent of the world's ocean container capacity.
