MODIANO AUSTRALIA SELECTS INTTRA FREIGHT PORTAL
Modiano Australia Pty. Ltd., a global wool exporter based in London, has selected INTTRA, provider of a Web portal connecting shippers and logistics providers, to place Modiano’s ocean freight bookings.
Modiano is using the provider’s INTTRA-ACT solution to standardize carrier bookings. “The next phase of implementation will include electronic logging of forwarding instructions and automating the bill of lading,” said Chris Goodwill, Modiano’s shipping manager.
Modiano, which has its main Australian office in Melbourne, supplies wool tops as well as greasy and scoured wool.
INTTRA, based in Parsippany, N.J., has offices in Copenhagen and Hong Kong. The portal’s members include CMA CGM, Hamburg Sud, Hapag-Lloyd, Kuehne & Nagel International AG, Maersk Sealand, Mediterranean Shipping Co. S.A., P&O Nedlloyd, and United Arab Shipping Co.
