MOL ends Europe/Africa services, joins Delmas and OTAL
MOL is ending its Europe/Africa “African Rainbow Express” service and instead taking space from Delmas and its sister company OT Africa Line on two services between Europe and West Africa starting from October.
MOL’s “ARX” service was started in June 2002 and had a sailing frequency of twice monthly. CSAV later started taking slots on the “ARX”.
MOL will now take space on the weekly “Hebdo Direct” and fortnightly “Express” services of Delmas and OTAL.
The “Hebdo Direct” service employs five vessels of 2,200 TEUs and has a full port rotation of Felixstowe, Antwerp, Le Havre, Montoir, Dakar, Abidjan, Lome, Lagos, Cotonou, Tema, Abidjan, Dakar, Felixstowe, Antwerp and Le Havre MOL’s participation on the “Hebdo Direct” service will commence on Oct. 18
from Felixstowe with the sailing of the “Nicholas Delmas.”
The “Express” service uses three ships of 1,000 TEUs with a port rotation of Hamburg, Antwerp, Le Havre, Leixoes, Lisbon, Dakar, Conakry, Pointe Noire, Luanda, Abidjan, Dakar, Hamburg, Antwerp and Le Havre. MOL will join the service on Oct. 25 from Hamburg with the sailing of “Patricia Delmas.”
