MOL shares will no longer trade in Europe
Tokyo-based Mitsui O.S.K. Lines Ltd. has decided to delist its shares from the Frankfurt stock exchange, the last European stock exchange on which its shares are traded.
The Japanese shipping group said its move will have no significant adverse effect on shareholders and investors, and is motivated by the fact that trading volumes of MOL’s shares on the Frankfurt exchange have been low.
Until the late 1990s, MOL shares were listed on three European stock exchanges — Antwerp, Brussels and Frankfurt.
MOL shares will continue to be traded on the stock exchange of Tokyo, Nagoya, Osaka, Fukuoka and Sapporo in Japan.
