MOL UPGRADES JAPAN/HONG KONG/STRAITS SERVICE
MOL will introduce a second loop in the Japan/Hong Kong/Southeast Asia trade and revise its existing service.
The new service, called CHS-2, will be operated in partnership with Interasia Lines Ltd. and Wan Hai Lines Ltd., adding, in total, three 2000-TEU vessels to the trade.
The service will have a rotation of Osaka, Kobe, Shimizu, Tokyo, Yokohama, Hong Kong, Port Kelang, Singapore, Hong Kong and Osaka. It begins on June 22 with the arrival of the 'Med Taichung' at Port Kelang.
The current service, known as CHS-1, will be upgraded to larger, 2,400-TEU vessels. This service calls at Tokyo, Yokohama, Nagoya, Kobe, Hong Kong, Singapore, Port Kelang, Singapore, Hong Kong and Tokyo.
