MOL’s fifth China office this year opens in Chongqing
Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd. has opened its fifth representative office in China this year, in Chongqing, following approval from the Chinese government.
The new office has already started operations with PR activities, information gathering, and other liaison activities related to MOL services.
The Chongqing office will “help expand and enhance MOL’s network in China,” following similar ones opened earlier in 2003 in Zhongshan, Suzhou, Xian, and Lianyungang, the company said.
MOL initially planned to open the Chongqing office in early 2004, but preparations were completed earlier than anticipated, the company said.
Chongqing is one of the world’s largest cities with a population of 32 million and has emerged as an important center of China’s automotive industry in recent years, MOL said
