The ocean carrier will deploy a dozen of its own vessels on its Andes Service, formerly a joint offering with Hapag-Lloyd and CMA CGM.
Ocean carrier Mediterranean Shipping Co. will upgrade its Andes Service between Asia and the West Coast of Latin America, deploying its own vessels exclusively starting in June.
MSC said it will deploy 12 vessels on its standalone Andes Service. The loop will have a full port rotation of Chiwan, Hong Kong, Ningbo, Shanghai, Busan, Yokohama, Manzanillo, Lazaro Cardenas, Balboa, Buenaventura, Callao, Iquique, San Antonio, Coronel, San Antonio, Callao, Balboa, Manzanillo, Busan, Shanghai, and Chiwan.
According to ocean carrier schedule and capacity database BlueWater Reporting, MSC currently offers a joint service with a similar rotation in which it provides six ships, Hapag-Lloyd provides four vessels and CMA CGM provides two with an overall average capacity of 8,751 TEUs.
