MSC STARTS NEW MEDITERRANEAN/RED SEA AND MIDDLE EAST SERVICE
Mediterranean Shipping Co. has started a weekly “Mediterranean to Red Sea and Middle East” service and revised its existing weekly “North Europe/Mediterranean to Red Sea, India and Pakistan” loop.
The new Mediterranean service will use five ships of between 1,270 and 2,227 TEUs. Its port rotation is Naples, La Spezia, Piraeus, Aqaba, Jeddah, Dubai, Muscat, Jeddah, Piraeus, Naples and La Spezia.
The new service picks up some of the port coverage of the “North Europe/Mediterranean to Red Sea, India and Pakistan” service, which will now have a faster transit between north Europe and the Indian Subcontinent. The North Europe link has added a call at Le Havre and dropped calls at La Spezia, Naples, Aqaba and Djibouti. Its revised port rotation is Le Havre, Felixstowe, Antwerp, Valencia, Piraeus, Jeddah, Nhava Sheva, Karachi, Muscat, Jeddah, Piraeus, Valencia, Le Havre, Felixstowe and Antwerp.
