N.C. port authority appoints Gattis government relations manager
The North Carolina State Ports Authority has named Kaye Lloyd Gattis government relations manager.
Gattis will advocate for the authority’s government relations initiatives in the North Carolina general assembly and with state agencies in Raleigh.
Gattis has 25 years of experience in government and political relations and public affairs. She was chief of staff to Lt. Gov. Dennis Wicker from 1992 to 1999, and held the same position from 2000 to 2002 with Lt. Gov. Beverly Perdue.
The authority covers the ports of Wilmington and Morehead City, plus inland terminals in Charlotte and the Piedmont Triad in Greensboro.
