N.C. PORTS HIRE SECURITY DIRECTOR
The North Carolina State Ports Authority has promoted Doug Campen to the new position o director of safety and security.
Campen is the first person in the port authority's 57-year history to have safety and security responsibilities for both deepwater ports at Wilmington and Morehead City, as well as the inland terminals in Charlotte and Piedmont Triad at Greensboro.
A 23-year port authority veteran, he was named corporate safety officer for the port authority system last year, after serving 11 years as manager of safety and security at the Port of Morehead City.
