NASON NAMED U.S. CUSTOMSÆ HEAD OF CONGRESSIONAL AFFAIRS OFFICE
U.S. Customs has appointed Nicole Nason to assistant commissioner of the Office of Congressional Affairs in Washington.
In this role, Nason will keep Congress informed of the agency’s mission, initiatives and goals to combat terrorism, illegal drugs and unlawful trade practices, said Customs Commissioner Robert C. Bonner.
Before joining Customs, Nason served as communications director and counsel for Congressman Porter Goss, R-Fla. She also worked as governmental affairs counsel for Metropolitan Life Insurance Co. in Washington, and served in several positions within the House Judiciary Committee.
